{"id":81,"date":"2019-10-26T10:34:35","date_gmt":"2019-10-26T10:34:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pages.isir.lan\/template\/?page_id=81"},"modified":"2024-09-02T13:38:46","modified_gmt":"2024-09-02T11:38:46","slug":"home","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pages.isir.upmc.fr\/shaliyo\/home\/?lang=en","title":{"rendered":"Do\u011fan Sinan HALIYO"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>I&rsquo;m a Professor at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isir.upmc.fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ISIR<\/a>, Sorbonne Universit\u00e9, Paris, where I lead the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isir.upmc.fr\/teams\/interactions\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Multi-Scale Interactions Lab<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap\">My research is broadly about interactivity through different scales of space and time &#8211; how to design teleoperated robots in specific situations, and how to let  operators perceive what they control through the system. I&rsquo;ve started working in microrobotics, then made my way up to the Human through teleoperation, haptics, virtual reality and lately Human \/ Computer Interfaces. I work with a wide panel of researchers; from robotics, psychologists, neuroscientists to biologists in a truly multidisciplinary approach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&rsquo;ve defended <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www-old.isir.upmc.fr\/files\/2002THDR159.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">my PhD<\/a> thesis in 2002, on micromanipulation, under the supervision of St\u00e9phane R\u00e9gnier &amp; Jean-Claude Guinot. I&rsquo;ve obtained my <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www-old.isir.upmc.fr\/files\/2019THDR4757.pdf\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Habilitat<\/em> (HDR)<\/a>, entitled &lsquo;Multi-Scale Interactions&rsquo; in 2019. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/slides.com\/sinanh\/hdr\/fullscreen\" target=\"_blank\">My HDR slides can be reached here<\/a> and they depict the approach that I&rsquo;ve developed in recent years.
